No further is action is needed from the author.
  •  If paid by bank account transfer– Elsevier will inform authors that they are retrospectively eligible for the discount, credit the existing invoice, and re-issue a new invoice. Elsevier will also request bank account details to refund the discounted amount. However, please note that refunds will only happen once the bank account details are provided.

Sharing Articles

Policies for sharing differ for subscription and gold open access articles:

Subscription Articles:

  • If you are an author, share a link to the article rather than the full-text.  The links will help your users to find, access, cite, and use the best available version.

  • You can share your Published Journal Article (PJA) privately with known students, or colleagues.  The PJA cannot be shared publicly.

Gold Open Access Articles

  • May be shared according to the author-selected end-user license and should contain a CrossMark logo, the end user license, and a DOI link.
