Publishing: Article Processing Charges and Open Access

Authors affiliated with the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston are eligible for a $250 discount on hybrid OA journals.

Please note: there is no charge for publishing in ACS hybrid journals if an open access option is not chosen.

If their research funder or institution permits, authors may choose an optional 12-month open access embargo period for their article. This applies a discount of $2,000 to the open access article publishing charge.  This embargo period allows the article to be offered under subscription access for 12 months prior to becoming available via open access.
