Publishing: Open Access and Article Processing Charges

What are APCs?

An Article Processing Charge (APC), is a publishing fee for each article published and is usually charged to the author(s).  APCs are common when making a work available through open access (OA), whether it is a hybrid or full OA journal.

The University of Texas Medical Branch will provide a discounted APCs for authors in selected journal subscriptions.
