Publishing: Article Processing Charges and Open Access

This deal gives us full text access to IOP journals and allows UTMB authors to publish open access articles in most of their OA or hybrid-OA journals with no article processing charge (APC).

Note- the corresponding author must be from UTMB or another UT System institution for this deal to apply, and it is the responsibility of the corresponding author to choose OA publishing and indicate institutional affiliation in order to get that APC covered.

What is a transformative agreement?
Transformative agreements are contracts negotiated between institutions and publishers that transform the business model underlying scholarly publishing towards a fully open access model. They represent a shift away from a subscription-only model to one which covers both subscription payments and article publication charges.
