Zotero Connector

Zotero Connectors connect web resources you are browsing and allows you to save those sources.

Automatic Filing Importing:

  • Will offer to import RIS, BibTeX, and Refer/BibIX bibliographic files

Save to Zotero.org

  • When the Zotero desktop application is closed, the Zotero Connector will save directly to the zotero.org servers
  • You can control whether PDF attachments or web page snapshots are automatically saved when importing to zotero.org

Adding Files

Via the browser

  • will automatically save associated web page snap shots and PDFs (with the Zotero Connector)

Via the Zotero window

Drag and Drop 

  • Files can be copied into your library from operating system's file and into the Zotero Window

Adding Linked Files

  • To add links, hold down Ctrl+Shift (Windows) or Cmd+Option (Mac) while dropping

New Item Button

  • File copies and links can be created by clicking "New Item"

Attachment Menu

  • Select an item you want to add an attachment to
  • Click the paperclip
  • You are able to: Attach link to URL, Attach Stored Copy of File, or Attach Link to File
