This guide will help you find multimedia resources that can be used for teaching, presentations, etc.

Finding Videos in Library Resources

Finding Free Videos on Youtube

Hint: You can also subscribe to specific health/medical entities youtube pages (e.g. Mayo Clinic, NIH, CDC)

Using Youtube to find videos that may be free to use and/or modify.

  1. Go to Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/ and perform a search. 
  2. On the results page, click the Filters icon on the right-hand side, under the Features section click "Creative Commons".
  3. In the description box located below the video, click "show more/more" and find the License to see licensing information. 
  4. You can click the "share" button under the video to get the link to the video. 

Library Video Resources

Using Access Medicine to find videos

  1. Go to Access Medicine
  2. On the homepage, select "video & audio" tab from the top menu
    • select a subject from the menu
  3. Once you select a video
    • Hover over the video screen and click the menu button in the right-hand corner to download

Using Alexander Street Press to find videos

  1. Go to Alexander Street Press and perform a search
  2. Click the "funnel" icon to drop down the filter menu
  3. You can enter a date range and video length here
  4. Select a video
  5. To export click "share"
    • From here you can download the permalink 

Using Clinical Key to find videos

  1. Go to Clinical Key
  2. On the homepage, select either the "Procedural Videos" or "Multimedia" boxes
  3. Videos can not be exported
