Introduction

EndNote Basic is a web-based bibliographic tool, providing researchers with a way to store, collect, organize and format citations.

To use EndNote Basic through the Moody Medical Library, you will need to set up a personal account (see instructions below).  If you already have an account in Web of Science, you can log into EndNote Basic using your Web of Science credentials.

To Create a Personal Account:

On UTMB campus

  1. Click EndNote Basic listed under Find By Name from the Library’s home page.
  2. Click Sign Up.
  3. Complete the required fields (name, UTMB e-mail address, etc. and a password of at least eight characters – see password rules on registration form).
  4. Click the Sign Up button.
  5. Go to the email from Endnote and click on the link to activate your account.
  6. You will be directed back to the sign in page and use your UTMB username and Endnote password to sign into Endnote.

Note: Accounts may also be created within Web of Science by using the sign in or register link. The Web of Science registration is the best way to create an account from off-campus.
