Learning to use EndNote Basic

Introduction

EndNote Basic is a web-based bibliographic tool, providing researchers with a way to store, collect, organize and format citations.  

  • Account is accessible wherever you are working (roaming access).
  • An EndNote Basic registration or personal account allows up to 50,000 records.
  • 21 output styles available for creating bibliographies.
  • Up to 500 citations can be imported/exported at a time.

To use EndNote Basic, you will need to set up a personal account (see instructions below).  

To Create a Personal Account:

  1. Go to EndNote Basic.
  2. Click Register.
  3. Complete the required fields.
  4. Click Register.
  5. Go to the email from Endnote and click on the link to activate your account.
  6. You will be directed back to the sign in page. Use your EndNote usernamen and password to sign into EndNote.
