Connect to Articles While Searching Library Databases

Find It @UTMB icons appear in the search results of all Library databases. This icon helps connect you to electronic articles subscribed to by the Library. Always connect to databases (CINAHL, Medline, PubMed, etc.) from the Library's home page to ensure that the Find It @UTMB button is available.

After you click on Find It @UTMB, the article may open automatically. If it does not, you will get a window with one or more of the following options.

  • "Get Article" link connects directly to the article.
  • "Browse Journal" requires you to scan through a list to find the article.
  • "Browse Journal" next to "Library Building" means that the journal is in our print subscriptions. Clicking on the link takes you into the Library Catalog which provides information about latest issue received, if any volumes are checked out, etc.
  • ILLiad link is available to request articles we do not own or to request scanned copies from our collection. Once you login to ILLiad, the form will automatically be completed for you!

Connect to Articles from a Known Reference (but not in the middle of a search)

  1. Connect to the Library's home page (http://library.utmb.edu).
  2. Type in the name of the journal in the Our Journals search box.
  3. The Results tell you where we have full-text available.
Note: Online access may exist in multiple resources. Pay attention to the dates to pick the best match for the reference you need.
Note: "Browse Journal" next to "Library Building" gives information in our Library Catalog about our print subscription. The print journals are located on the 3rd floor, alphabetically by the journal title. You can request scanned copies via ILLiad.
